Texans for Lawsuit Reform’s (TLR) deceit grew substantially in the 2025 89th Legislative Session. One example is TLR establishing a front group called the Lone Star Economic Alliance (LSEA).
The Lone Star Economic Alliance was presented as a collection of businesses that wanted to make insurance more affordable. In reality, LSEA was a thinly veiled front group to back TLR’s bad bills, which benefit big insurance companies and harm everyday Texans. This facade was set up to create an echo chamber by providing media with comments on TLR’s one-sided policies. As a matter of fact, LSEA is run by TLR’s President, Lee Parsley, and is run out of TLR’s office. See the proof for yourself, buried deep in LSEA’s website:

And here’s TLR’s address – both are 919 Congress, Suite 455:

This is not the first time TLR’s deceit and attacks on conservatives have been exposed too.
Texas Scorecard and Michael Quinn Sullivan exposed TLR’s deceit and support for Democrats and their liberal causes in the documentary Hubris. We encourage you to watch Texas Scorecard’s exposé on TLR’s fraud and deceit below: Hubris: The Texas Kingmakers.
Attorney General Ken Paxton also exposed TLR’s deceit and support for liberal causes. TLR led the charge in the House impeachment of Attorney General Paxton, although TLR denied it. However, TLR’s chairman was exposed for secretly writing an editorial, printed under someone else's name, for the Wall Street Journal advocating for the impeachment of Ken Paxton. TLR colluded with Karl Rove and former Gov. Perry to try to force the impeachment of Attorney General Paxton. Read the excerpt below, which was published by the liberal Texas Tribune:

TLR’s many lies and deceit were also exposed by Current Revolt’s Tony Ortiz, who did an in-depth analysis of TLR and Rep. Jeff Leach’s bill that tried to hide when semi truck drivers can’t read or speak English. See that full report here:
Horrible Republican Scam Comes to Light - by Tommy Paine
TLR clearly has a reputation for deception. Did you know they also tried to eliminate religious, community, and family values from Texas Courts? Or opposed President Trump and Governor Abbott on foreign truck drivers knowing English? And they have given over $6,000,000.00 in campaign contributions to 144 Democrats? It’s time for Republicans to reject TLR.
